The Northshore Fire Department in Lake County will experience limited emergency services as of this past Tuesday due to staffing shortages. Advanced Life Support provides advanced medical interventions. In the past, they had three ALS units every day, but will now have one for the foreseeable future. Forty-six percent of their emergency calls overlap, meaning that there will be delays in getting ALS care since it will need to come from another district.
