About $32-million was spent on repaved roads and culvert replacements in Sonoma County this past summer. Fifty-miles of county-maintained roads were repaved and 54 culverts were replaced in total. The work involved a combination of roads identified for the ongoing Pavement Preservation Program and roads that qualified for repair as part of the Fire Damage Recovery Paving Project supported by PG&E settlement funds. This year, the county also removed vegetation along nearly 109 miles of roads, fixed over 1,500 potholes, and replaced 62 guardrails.
