Cotati Mobile Home Park Owner Threatens to Close It Down

The owner of a mobile home park in Cotati is threatening to close the place down after the city passed a new regulation to protect seniors who live there. Last week, Nick Ubaldi, who owns the Country Side Mobile Home Park, told the Cotati City Council it voted for a lawsuit. Earlier in the meeting, the council voted to implement a so-called “senior mobile home park overlay zone.” That officially classifies the mobile home park as one only for older residents. Back in the summer, Ubaldi tried to convert Country Side into an all-ages park to make it more profitable. Ubaldi says the value of the property far exceeds its current use.
