Novato Man Identified in Fatal Head-On Crash Near Petaluma

A Novato man has been identified as the man killed in a head-on crash near Petaluma. Fifty-three-year-old Lemuel Rodas Diaz was driving a pickup truck east on Roblar Road near Stony Point Road Saturday evening when an SUV from the opposite lane crossed over the double yellow lines and struck him head on. Diaz was pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV’s driver, 74-year-old Linda Johnson, suffered major but non-life threatening injuries. She was later charged with felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter. A GoFundMe page has been set up by Diaz’s family in order to send his body back home to Guatemala.
