Two men are behind bars on suspicion of stealing a safe from a Wingstop restaurant in American Canyon. The alleged theft happened last Wednesday, but police released more detailed information on Monday. Fairfield police arrested the men after finding the safe stashed in a U-Haul truck. Investigators say the men had cash from the safe in their pockets when they were arrested. A search of the back of the U-Haul also turned up burglary tools and stolen paychecks from another theft reported in Davis.
