The post office in a small town on the Sonoma Coast is inundated with packages after Amazon suddenly stopped delivering to homes. Last week, Carrie Anderson, the local postmaster in Sea Ranch, was told Amazon was discontinuing home deliveries. Instead, she was told, it would be dropping off all packages at the Sea Ranch Post Office. But, Anderson says the post office isn’t equipped to handle so many packages at once. The small post office has been getting more than 200 packages a day. On Thursday, Amazon said cutting off home deliveries in Sea Ranch was a mistake and announced it’s working with the United States Postal Service to correct it.
