Avelo Airlines is planning to make Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport a new hub starting May 1st. Two of its Boeing 737s will be based at the airport. To staff the planes, Avelo will be hiring about 50 local employees, including pilots, flight attendants and aviation maintenance technicians. Avelo Airlines currently serves four markets, including Los Angeles by way of Burbank, Palm Springs, central Oregon and Las Vegas.
