Sonoma County Waterways Receding After Recent Storm

Waters in several Sonoma County Creeks and the Russian River are slowly receding. Colgan Creek near Sebastopol and Green Valley Creek in Forestville hit the moderate flood stage within the past couple of days. Both creek levels have starting to drop, but Green Valley Creek remains at minor flood stage. There are also gradual drops in water levels along the Santa Rosa Creek and East Washington Creek in Petaluma. Meanwhile, the Russian River in Healdsburg was at just over 24 feet yesterday, about a foot shy of minor flood stage. It is now at just over 21-and-a-half feet.
