A free nursing assistant program in Sonoma County has produced their first class of graduates. This week, 12 people received their certificates of completion from the statewide Healthcare Career Pathway program offered at Fox Home Health in Santa Rosa. The program consists of 330-hours of entry-level training, including classroom instruction, clinical training, professional development and mock review. The training prepares students for the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program exam, a state requirement to work as a certified nursing assistant in California. The next session for this local program begins Monday and has about 20 people enrolled.
