Another blow for fishermen in California. Salmon is off limits for the second year in a row. A vote came down yesterday not to open next month’s season off the coast, marking only the fourth time in history it will be closed. The decision gives native salmon population the opportunity to recover and grow back toward normal levels. This follows the Dungeness crab season closing early for most of the state after a late start.
