Group of Petaluma Auto Technicians Leave Union

Auto technicians at Hansel Ford of Petaluma have agreed to leave their union after more than 40 years of representation. More than 80-percent of workers signed a petition seeking to vote out union officials. They had been unionized by the International Association of Machinists. The Press Democrat reports that said workers wanted to stop paying dues, and that they felt union officials did not represent them properly.
