A small plane crash-landed at Petaluma Municipal Airport at about noon on Thursday. The single-engine Mooney M20, with only the pilot on board, landed without its landing gear extended. Fortunately, no one was injured. The plane, registered to Kevin Wheeler of Contra Costa County, left Concord’s Buchanan Field Airport earlier in the morning. The incident is under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board.
