A wanted gang member was arrested by Santa Rosa Police and found to be in possession of a handgun. Yesterday afternoon, police spotted Javier Lezama Montano, who had a felony warrant issued for his arrest and was a person of interest in a threats case stemming from a STOPITNOW report through Santa Rosa City Schools. Montano boarded a bus and got out near Meadow View Elementary School. Police managed to detain him as he was walking towards an apartment complex but not before tackling him. In a satchel he carried, police found a loaded handgun. Montano was arrested for the warrant and also charged with several other crimes.
