Hot Weather Hits North Bay in Early Days of Fall

Parts of Sonoma County saw temperatures reach the triple digits on the first full day of fall. On Monday, Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport reached 100 degrees, while Cloverdale had a high of 101 degrees. Santa Rosa peaked at 98 degrees and Napa got as hot as 97 degrees. Both counties missed being added to the National Weather Service’s heat advisory. The North Bay is avoiding the heat advisory because its nighttime lows are still expected to hit 60 degrees. Similar highs are expected this afternoon, ahead of a cooldown tomorrow. Forecasters are calling for a high of 94 degrees in Santa Rosa today.
