A 22-year-old Santa Rosa man has reached a plea deal for a fiery crash that killed a 17-year-old girl. Jaden Pruett-Steed pleaded no contest in Sonoma County Superior Court to one count of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence causing injury. He was also convicted of two counts of child abuse because the crash involved two victims who were under the age of 18. Pruett-Steed will be sentenced on November 19th and faces up to about 16 years in prison. On October 13th of 2023, Pruett-Steed was driving in a vehicle with three other passengers when he went off Montgomery Drive near Spring Lake Regional Park and crashed, killing Emma Rose Walker and injuring two young men.
