A former Santa Rosa Junior College trustee is being accused of child molestation. The Press Democrat reports that three weeks before Jordan Burns resigned as a trustee on August 6th, SRJC President Frank Chong had received an email from a 19-year-old former Santa Rosa Junior College student claiming that Burns had sexually abused him as a child. The email, sent by Adrian Cardenas, said he had previously reported the alleged abuse to Sebastopol police and later filed a lawsuit against Burns in May of 2020, a suit that remains active. Burns denies the allegations saying they “are absolutely false and without a shred of truth.” Burns did admit that the allegations played a role in his resignation.
