The emergence of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 has prompted the World Health Organization and California health officials to extend their mask mandate to January 15th. But masks are not necessarily required at places of worship. State health officials say masks do not have to be worn indoors if a person is vaccinated. They recommend people wear masks indoors whether or not they are vaccinated.
