Petaluma car with stolen tires (Petaluma Police)
Parts of Sonoma County are experiencing tire thefts this week. Petaluma police began receiving reports from people who discovered that their tires and rims were removed from their vehicles near apartment complexes on the east side of town, with at least 10 reports coming in by Monday. Tire thefts also took place in Rohnert Park between Sunday and Wednesday. 2014 to 2024 Toyota Camrys and Corollas have been targeted, as well as 2020 to 2024 Honda Civics and Accords. The Petaluma and Rohnert Park Police Departments encourage the community to report in-progress suspicious activity to 911.
