The Napa County Board of Supervisors has approved the construction of the Vida Valiente winery near the 2020 Glass Fire burn scar, overturning a previous denial by the Napa County Planning Commission. The winery will be built on 18 acres in the hills northeast of Saint Helena and is expected to produce up to 30-thousand gallons of wine annually. Despite concerns about public safety and fire risk, the Board’s decision allows the winery to proceed with plans for wine tastings and marketing events on site.
