
Boyle Fire 9-9-24 (Cal Fire)
The Boyles Fire in Lake County has burned 76 acres of land and is 30-percent contained. The fire, which started in Clearlake at 2:45 Sunday afternoon, has damaged or destroyed at least 30 structures, destroyed 40 to 50 vehicles, and forced as many as four-thousand residents to evacuate. Fire officials say wind sparked several spot fires in areas beyond the initial fire. The cause of the fire has not been determined, but so far, arson is not suspected. The next news briefing about the fire is scheduled for eight o’clock this morning.
