Santa Rosa could designate 12 of its 16 mobile home parks for seniors only. Last week, the Santa Rosa City Council directed city planners to move forward with a proposal to do so. It would require most residents in the dozen designated mobile home parks to be at least 55-years-old. The goal is to keep rental spaces available to older tenants and to make it more difficult for park owners to transform existing seniors-only properties into properties open to all ages. The 12 mobile home parks have a combined one-thousand-753 homes.
