A democrat from West Sacramento will succeed State Senator Bill Dodd. Christopher Cabaldon is beating Republican Thom Bogue 61.5-percent to 38.5-percent for the district 3 state senate race. The district stretches from Rohnert Park across Sonoma Valley and Napa County all the way to the Sacramento River. Cabaldon was previously the mayor of West Sacramento from 1998-2020.
