Sonoma County has launched a new website, SonomaCountyResilient.org, to help residents and landowners find resources and funding for projects that reduce wildfire risk.
The site is part of the Resilient Forests and Watersheds Initiative, which aims to make the area more resilient to climate change. According to Supervisor Lynda Hopkins, the website provides a direct path to the information and resources people need to take action.
The website includes a resource hub for finding guidance on everything from home hardening to grant opportunities. This new site builds on a successful grant program that has already funded projects to reduce fuel on over 5,000 acres.
