Sonoma County’s top administrator will be retiring early next year.
Sonoma County Executive Officer Maria Christina Rivera announced her upcoming retirement on Wednesday. She has been in the role since January of 2023, when she was given a three-year contract. She will finish out the remainder of that contract.
Rivera is the first Latina and fully bilingual Sonoma County executive.
