Authorities are identifying a man who was shot to death by a Santa Rosa police officer.
Twenty-year-old Matteo Ramirez-Santos was shot on the morning of August 14th, after a standoff that started the previous night. Police say he showed up at his ex-girlfriend’s home armed with a gun. He was also wanted in connection with another domestic violence incident involving the same woman on August 2nd.
Police say, in last week’s incident, Ramirez-Santos pulled the woman’s hair, pistol-whipped her and pointed the gun at her head. He also threatened to kill her and police officers.
A SWAT officer shot him to death after he opened the front door and fired at officers, then moved toward them.
