Man Arrested Following Road Rage Incident With Bicyclist

Santa Rosa Police have arrested a local man after a road rage incident involving a bicyclist.

At about 2:30 PM yesterday, a 22-year-old cyclist reported being intentionally hit by a car near Sebastopol Road and West Avenue. Police say the driver, identified as 19-year-old Eliel Ortega Rendon, followed the victim into a parking lot before striking the bicycle with his vehicle. The victim suffered minor injuries.

After a search, police located and arrested Ortega Rendon, who now faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon and gang enhancement.
