Santa Rosa Teen Arrested Following Bomb Threat

An 18-year-old from Santa Rosa is arrested after posting what he called a “joke” bomb threat to a Yolo County high school on Instagram.

Sonoma County deputies were alerted Wednesday night after the comment appeared on Pioneer High School’s after-school programs account. Police in Woodland contacted Sonoma deputies because the account was linked to Santa Rosa. Authorities searched the teen’s home but found no bomb-making materials.

He was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats and later released on 30-thousand-dollars bail.
