The Sebastopol Union School District is under fire as multiple families accuse officials of failing to address serious and repeated incidents of bullying and bias at Brook Haven Middle School.
According to the Press Democrat, the district’s bullying rate is already a concern: 50% of Sebastopol seventh graders reported being bullied, significantly higher than state and county averages.
In response, the district recently launched an anti-racism plan, but some parents are now organizing to demand better accountability and action from school administration.
