A motorcyclist is dead following a Thursday morning crash in Rohnert Park.
Police say the collision happened just before 10:15 on southbound Highway 101 near Golf Course Drive. CHP officials said a car swerved to avoid debris in the road, lost control, and veered toward the median before turning sharply right.
The motorcycle then struck the car’s right front, ejecting the rider. Emergency crews attempted CPR, but the motorcyclist died shortly after at a hospital. The other driver was uninjured.
Authorities say wet roads from rain may have contributed to the crash.
