Providence and home-health provider Compassus have finalized their joint venture, bringing comprehensive home health, hospice, and palliative care services to Sonoma and Napa counties.
Per the Press Democrat, the new entity, Providence at Home with Compassus, will be managed by Compassus. This expansion follows some local controversy, as about 120 Providence hospice workers in Sonoma previously struck over concerns about the partnership with the private equity firm.
Officials state the goal is to transform care delivery and address healthcare workforce challenges across the region.
