Healdsburg Man Arrested on Suspicion of Contacting Minors

Authorities in Sonoma County have arrested a registered sex offender in Healdsburg on suspicion of possessing child sexual abuse material and sending explicit messages to teenagers.

According to the Press Democrat, the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Alfredo Flores Rico, was arrested Tuesday following a search of his home. Police say they discovered conversations with minors, aged 13 to 16, on several social media apps, some containing explicit messages and attempts to arrange in-person meetings. Officers also found alcohol in the home, which is a violation of his probation stemming from previous DUI convictions.

Flores Rico was booked into the Sonoma County jail on suspicion of multiple felonies, including possession of child sexual abuse material and sending harmful material to a minor, with bail set at $150,000.
