National Weather Service Projecting Series of Storms Through Holidays

A series of storms is expected to bring mostly beneficial rainfall to the North Bay.

The National Weather Service says two storms this week may drop up to five inches along the Sonoma County coast and between one-point-five to four inches elsewhere, with light showers continuing Wednesday morning.

A third, stronger storm is expected early next week and could bring the heaviest rain through Christmas. Temperatures will remain seasonably cool, with highs in the mid-50s.

The National Weather Service advises residents to prepare by clearing gutters, moving items indoors, and allowing extra travel time, especially in areas prone to flooding or heavy rain.
