Santa Rosa police arrested a local man Wednesday night after a quick-thinking witness spotted him with a handgun near the intersection of Marlow and Piner Roads.
Officers arrived within minutes and detained 28-year-old Austin Ramirez, finding a loaded .45 caliber semi-automatic tucked into his waistband.
Since Ramirez is a convicted felon, he’s now facing several fresh charges for being in possession of a firearm and ammunition, and he’s currently booked at the Main Adult Detention Facility.
