Calistoga is doubling down on its efforts to breathe new life into the historic local fairgrounds.
The Press Democrat reports following a unanimous City Council vote this week, the town’s Fairgrounds Advisory Committee is now a permanent fixture as the city works to revitalize the 70-acre property purchased from Napa County last year.
The volunteer group is tasked with a major 2026 work plan that includes securing grants and upgrading aging infrastructure to ensure the site—which has already hosted everything from car races to carnivals—can finally reach its full potential.
