Sonoma Opens Applications For 4th Of July Parade

The search is on for marchers and floats as the Sonoma Valley Fire District officially opens applications for this year’s July 4th Parade.

According to the Sonoma Index-Tribune, to celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday, this year’s theme honors “Service and Sacrifice,” with a special focus on the seven branches of the U.S. military. If you want to join the fun, you’ll need to act fast—organizers are capping the event at the first 70 completed entries.

The deadline to apply is June 14th, though spots are expected to fill up well before then. Volunteers and local vendors are also encouraged to sign up online to help bring that famous small-town spirit to the Plaza.

For more details on how to march or sponsor the festivities, head over to the Sonoma Valley Fire website.
