Fallen Tree Knocks Out Power And Crashes Into Car In Healdsburg

A wind-felled tree knocked down a PG&E power line and crushed a parked car in Healdsburg early Sunday morning.

The Press Democrat reports the incident happened around 4:00 a.m. when a large fir tree was toppled by strong winds, cutting power to roughly 400 local customers.

According to PG&E, safety settings automatically shut off the line instantly, preventing any immediate safety hazards. Fortunately, the parked vehicle was unoccupied at the time and no injuries were reported.

Utility crews responded quickly, fully restoring power to the area in less than two hours before working to clear the debris.
