Santa Rosa Man Sentenced For Deadly Cannabis-Impaired Crash

A forty-four-year-old Santa Rosa man has been sentenced to over six years in prison for a fatal DUI crash.

The Press Democrat reports Justino William Faenzi-Glass was convicted of driving under the influence of cannabis during a head-on collision on Highway 101 last July. The crash killed seventy-four-year-old Sally Ann Teegarden, a beloved counselor and recovery mentor in Mendocino and Humboldt counties.

Prosecutors note that Faenzi-Glass crossed double-yellow lines with two children inside his vehicle, though the minors were uninjured. Following a ninety-day mental health evaluation, a judge handed down the seventy-six-month sentence on Wednesday.

The Mendocino County District Attorney’s Office is using the case to remind the public to never drive while impaired by cannabis.
