A man has been arrested after a road rage incident in Windsor. On Tuesday evening, a driver called police saying he was being followed by a white truck in Windsor after an encounter on Highway 101. As the caller drove onto Joe Rodota Drive, a deputy saw the white pickup truck intentionally ram the rear bumper of the victim’s vehicle. The truck fled as deputies tried to pull him over, running through several red lights. The suspect was eventually stopped by a spike strip at Highway 101 and Guerneville Road in Santa Rosa. The driver refused to get out of the truck and yelled at deputies to “shoot him.” Deputies de-escalated the standoff and got the driver, Ian Haynes of Cloverdale, to exit the vehicle and surrender.
