Petaluma High School got through Wednesday’s school day despite a looming threat of violence. At least six police officers and additional staff brought in by Petaluma City Schools were on campus, following the threat, allegedly made by students through a shared Google Document on Tuesday. District officials say attendance was “noticeably down” yesterday. Police say one of the comments in the shared document was a threat of sexual assault directed at a student. Another threat involved using an assault rifle on campus. Police say they couldn’t determine how credible the threats were, but still took them seriously.
