PG&E helicopters will be patrolling over Sonoma County’s powerlines as part of a drill today. They’ll fly from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., over Cazadero, Larkfield-Wikiup, the Riebli-Wallace Neighborhood Group and along Bohemian Highway from Monte Rio to Occidental. The patrols are part of a company-wide public safety power shutoff preparedness exercise. Since it’s only a drill, PG&E won’t actually be shutting off anyone’s power.
