Attention PG&E customers: watch out for scams. The utility has seen over 600 reported scam attempts this year from caller a claiming to be PG&E representatives. Over 200 have been reported in Santa Rosa alone. The caller threatens to disconnect utility services unless they are paid by a pre-paid debit card or a money transfer service like Zelle. PG&E will never request payment by these methods. If you’ve been the subject of one of these calls, go to PGE dot com or call PG&E’s customer service number to confirm your account details.
