Anti-LGBTQ+ Flyers Posted On Businesses in Santa Rosa

A hate crime in downtown Santa Rosa during Pride Month. Several Santa Rosa businesses were targeted with hateful stickers, primarily in or near downtown, at LGBTQ+ owned businesses, or supporters of the LGBTQ+ community. Brew Coffee and Beer House reported many of these stickers on their business on Monday. Links on the stickers lead to a website promoting “straight pride” that is affiliated with the Bay Area Proud Boys, an extremist, far-right organization. Unknown people defaced several private businesses with stickers promoting hateful rhetoric and used the stickers to cover up support for LGBTQ+ rights, Trans rights, and Black Lives Matter. The stickers also showed up on the SRJC campus. Santa Rosa police are actively investigating each instance and asking anyone with surveillance footage of the vandalism to contact them. If you or your business have been targeted with these stickers, you can report the crime online at SRCity.org.
