Sonoma County’s budget is about to be approved. The Board of Supervisors met for one day to discuss the 2023-24 fiscal budget, debating how to spend nearly $46.7 million unallocated funds. Among other things, Supervisors agreed to allocate over $7-million to the Tierra de Rosas redevelopment project in Roseland, $16-million for projects in districts 1, 2, 4, and 5, and an increase of over $5-million to the funds already allocated for the sheriff’s office. A final vote on the budget will take place on Friday.
