Emergency responders from Ukraine are in Sonoma County. They visited the county’s emergency Operations Center or EOC yesterday as part of a U.S. tour designed to exchange technical expertise. The delegation, which responds to disasters that are both natural and caused by war, is visiting emergency facilities to strengthen preparedness and resilience for Ukraine. They heard Sonoma County emergency responders explain the extensive improvements to the region’s fire response since the devastating fires of 2017.
