Katie Sorenson, the mom who faked a kidnapping report in Petaluma, will have to wait a little longer to find out if she’ll get jail time. Her sentencing, initially scheduled for Wednesday, has been pushed back two weeks to June 29th. She faces up to six months in county jail for filing a false police report in late 2020. Sorenson, who was convicted in April, told police a couple tried to kidnap her two young kids at a Michael’s store. Police later determined it never happened. Despite that, Sorenson’s claims went viral on social media.
