A heat advisory begins Friday morning for the inland Bay Area cities where afternoon highs over 100 are forecast. Sonoma County won’t be as affected as much as just the most inland areas are getting the warning. Meanwhile, the heat advisory will cover most of Napa County. Cities along the coast should remain in the 60s and 70s.
The Bay Area is also under a Spare the Air Alert today. The alert is issued due to an unhealthy accumulation of smog and people are asked to limit driving to reduce air pollution.
