Fire Hydrant Breaks in Larkfield After Getting Hit by a Truck

A small geyser briefly erupted in Larkfield due to a broken fire hydrant. A truck sheared a hydrant on Corbett Circle yesterday which caused it to gush like Old Faithful. The Sonoma County Fire District got control of it within a short amount of time. They did have to turn off water to the area. The Press Democrat reports that some residents enjoyed the flow while it lasted, dipping their feet in the overflow and collecting water for plants. Even a dog named Rusty managed to quench his thirst.
