WalletHub: California is Average in the US for Schools

California’s not the best nor the worst state when it comes to education. WalletHub ranked all fifty states and the District of Columbia for their school systems and California was ranked 29th. Specifically, the Golden State ranked 26th for quality and 37th for safety. We did tie for second place in terms of median ACT scores and also came in second for percentage of threatened or injured high school students. The overall highest ranked state for education was Massachusetts while New Mexico came in last.
