Next Wednesday, the agency will meet with its board of directors and will present a proposal for an exploratory advisory council. That could lead to a discussion about other details, like funding and location. If the project is approved, it would likely take five years. Just three months ago, Sonoma County Tourism officials called building a convention center a “big, audacious goal.”
