A DUI driver was arrested after fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run in Petaluma. The crash happened Sunday night on the 100 block of Post Street where a blue car crashed into a parked and unoccupied pickup truck. The caller who reported it told the police the car was trying to flee the scene at a slow rate of speed with parts of the vehicle falling on the street. Officers found the car and the driver inside, 44-year-old Rafael Lopez-Perez. He showed signs of impairment and had a blood alcohol level more than two times the legal limit. Lopez-Perez was arrested for DUI and hit-and-run.
